We have to admit, we've come to acquire a certain feeling of obligation towards you. An obligation to be there when expected as well as an obligation to explain ourselves when absent. With that in mind, we know this event coverage is long overdue, but we've been busy hiking, whitewater rafting, fishing, and standing beside our girlfriends as they tie the knot to their very own Mr. Perfect. We know it's no honorable excuse, many of you bloggers keep up with your work while on vacation, having babies, and more, but if we're perfectly honest we're still trying to figure out this whole work/blog/personal life balance. So, that's the skinny. Nothing fancy, just an honest explanation we hope you'll understand as we try to get into our routines.

Now, without further ado, we're excited to share with you a little fashion show we attended prior to our travel madness. You see, the week prior to getting our outdoor fix, we were busy getting our geeky on at TechWeek Chi. This event was the closing ceremony of a week full of learning, networking, and partying, because if there's one thing we learned loud and clear, it's that Chicago's entrepreneurs know how to work hard and party harder.

Styled by Lily of AdoptedStyle and hosted by Glossed & Found, FORD Chicago models strutted their stuff on the catwalk in the season's hottest beach themed trends. I believe our first tweet to follow was "Lily, where can we find all of this?! #MustHave" or something to that nature. Major shopping urge enticed- the show was effective ;)
