Morning glitteraries! Today, I’m thrilled to share this post with you, because it’s one that that I’ve been looking forward to for a while! bareMinerals has been all abuzz lately due to the launch of their newest addition to the family, bareSkin. With reviews in Refinery29, Women’s Wear Daily, and just about every major magazine in the business, bareSkin is this season's product to try.

I’ll be up front, when it comes to beauty, I’m rather lazy. My routine has to be quick and efficient and the products I use have to follow suit. Critical to this routine is a great foundation- easy & quick to apply, but just about as effective a swoofsh of the wand from your fairy godmother. Nothing beats the look of a smooth & flawless face, it’s the genetic lottery we love to hate. That said, no one likes the look of a fake and cakey face.

The problem is foundation’s tricky. We want great coverage, but nothing too matte or shiny; something dewy for that summer glow, but nothing oily that will make us break out. Essentially we want the perfect man in foundation form. The variables are endless, but this is where bareMinerals becomes Mr. Right. With bareSkin, you can customize the coverage, starting with a recommendation of just two drops for sheer coverage & 6 drops for full coverage. I’ll admit, that for shoots I layer the foundation a bit heavier, but this means when I’m not shooting, I want as little as possible on my face, and two drops is just right!

In bareMinerals fashion, bareSkin has been formulated with purity in mind, meaning no oil, no silicone, no parabens, and no fragrance. This gives you a weightless fluid rooted in jojaba minerals and a coconut derived base. But that’s not all, this unique formula is filled with supercharged lilac stem cells & vitamin C, which combined provide powerful antioxidant protection and skin brightening superpower! Promising to brighten & even skin tone, this is essentially a foundation and skincare serum in one!  Did I mention it provides the protection of SPF 20? Yep, this is the one we’ve all been looking for, and the best part is it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything!

Now the ugly truth…

For starters there’s not much of it, especially when there are 20 shades to find your perfect color match. However, my only word of advice, is to use a good moisturizer. This is a uniquely light-weight formula with shockingly good pigmentation, and a little goes a long way, but it won’t cover dry or flaky skin. Personally, my skin is slightly more dry than oily, so I’ve had to make sure I exfoliate and moisturize well to guarantee a smooth finish with bareSkin. Nevertheless, the feeling of a naked face when I’m all done up, is completely worth the extra tender love and care.

So go ahead, dare to be bare, and I promise you’ll never go back ;)
