Vo Yourself // Feat. Vo Jewelry Giveaway

Outfit Details -  Tank | Sweater - similar | Pants - similar | Shoes | Bag | Sunnies | All Jewelry c/o Vo Jewelry

If you're a regular reader & follow on Insta, you already know I've been teaming up with Amy Vorel for some time. Amy's online shop Vo Jewelry launched yesterday, but her designs have been all a-buzz since her brand launch at the start of 2014.

What I like most about VO?...Amy's style is right up my alley and I'm particularlly obsessed with her Bobby bullet shell pendant– can somebody say "badass"!? This chick is business, glamour, and edge all in one and her designs follow suit!

Inspired by Chicago's unique culture, architecture, and style, Vo designs are timeless pieces adding just the right amount of edge to your everday wardrobe.

In just a few months, Vo Jewelry has been featured in Michigan Avenue Magazine, along with local designers' SS14 runway collections. It's no doubt this brand is destined for greatness & I couldn't be more excited to help spread the word!

In celebration of Vo's wesbite re-launch, Amy has extended a 10% discount available this week only! Use code "treat" at checkout & treat yourself ;)

In addition, Glitterary readers get a chance at a free Bobby pendant (my fave!)!!!

I'll be running this giveaway through Monday May 12th, but no need to wait, simply use the app below & enter now! Good luck, y'all...

xoxo

Seams Like Spring // Feat. Vineyard Vines

Sweater c/o | Trench | Jeans | Shoes - similar | Bag - similar | Earrings c/o | Watch

I don't know about you, but I'll take warm rain over sun & cold any day! This year's April showers may have been delayed, but they seem to be in full swing as of late & I'm kind of enjoying the change of pace.

I've got a few Vineyard Vines pieces to style for you this season & this week's weather felt like the perfect opportunity to get the ball rolling.

I'll delve more into the story of this brand as we move forward, but let's just start by saying they're one of the most chill & fun spirited brands out there, and you'll know it the moment you step in their store. The company slogan is "Every Day Should Feel This Good" & shopping sountracks often include "Margaritaville" & "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere".

When speaking with founders Shep & Ian earlier this year, the conversation rarely trailed away from fishing– a daily exercise at VV headquarters, and one this girl can appreciate!

Inspired by the good life of the east coast, Vineyard Vines' designs are full of color & seaside prints– nothing too serious, because getting dressed should always be fun!

While it may not be coastal living for us Chicagoan's just yet (we'll improvise with Lake Michigan soon enough), this muted nautical sweater will help us get there gracefully with a slight city twist ;)

Happy Wednesday!

Around the Block

Jacket | Top | Pants | Booties | Scarf | Bag | Aviators

Last week I spent an afternoon location scouting with photographer, Austin Larson. I've walked this city countless times, and it never fails to show me something new, especially when peeking through the camera.

While "Professional Photographer" has become a sort of buzz word label this last decade, a true photographer is an artist, not just someone who owns a DSLR.

As an artist, a photographer's key to success is his/her ability to see the unexpected in the ordinary. Perspective is everything & a true artist looks into the everyday mundane to capture the beauty overlooked.

You can imagine how much we overlook in this city on a daily basis, and let me tell you, I could fall in love a million times over if I paid slightly more attention.

This week, consider taking a moment a day to be intentional about how you view your surroundings. Enjoy it now & Instagram later, let that be the motto & I'll let it be mine ;)

Tribal Town

Jacket | Dress - see similar | Shoes (sold out) - similar | Bag | Bracelets | Necklace | Lipstick | Aviators

Last Wednesday was Cheeky Chicago's Real People of Style Show. This is one of my favorite events because it highlights Chicago's most stylish everyday men & women– not celebrities, not models, but your friends! It's the best concept & the evening was full of celebrating in cheeky style, including moscow mules & a video app to document the fun in fast-mo (hard to explain, but here's our example).

Since this year's show was held at Chop Shop in Wicker Park, it was only natural to end the evening at Big Star with friends. If you're not a Chicagoan, this is our hottest taco joint where the margaritas run on tap– literally.

Needless to say, it was a great Wednesday night, and this little tribal maxi was up for the adventure!

Off Track // Feat. Juicy Sport

Jacket | Top | Sports BraPants | Shoes (old) - craving these | Bag | Necklace | Bracelets | Fuel Band c/o | Aviators

Weekends are for getting off track & this look was perfect for a day of sponteneity and sunshine!

I've been obsessed with this muscle tee from Juicy Couture's new Sport Collection, but it's such a hit they can't seem to keep it in stock. Luckily I was checking the site when Juicy received a new stock & immediately I hit purchase! No regrets, this muscle tee will be worn out by the end of the season, because while it's meant for the gym (and it will be there), it so festive I'll be flaunting it across this city.

You know I'm a sucker for graphic tees, and what's better than one that celebrates health & champagne?...

P.S.- Don't mind the extra messy hair, this look came straight from showering at the gym. That said, I think I'm officially growing my hair out! Forgot how much I miss this messy topknot action. What do you think?...

Happy Monday! xo
